Policeman’s Way featured in local exhibition

Some of you may have seen my posts on Facebook, but Policeman’s Way was briefly closed to visitors earlier this year. But for a very good reason! I’m excited to say that I lent some of the Western Australia Police exhibits from my collection to the Bunbury Museum and Heritage Centre.

The Policing in Bunbury Exhibition was opened on Friday 21st February this year. Retired Police Officer Gerry Tyrell and I, together with others, loaned items from our personal collections to go on display. This was a magnificent display on early policing and law enforcement in the Bunbury Region from the 1840s to the 1960s and beyond.

Unfortunately like everything else in 2020 the exhibition was interrupted by the global pandemic, but I was proud to share my collection with a wider audience.

The collection is now closed and Policeman’s Way has reopened. But you can visit the Bunbury Museum and Heritage Centre on Tuesday to Sundays from 10am to 4pm. Well worth a walk through. Entry is free. You can also visit their website for all the latest events, as well as their Facebook and Instagram page.
